      ABOUT THE ARTIST

      George Rose @george_rose

A Melbourne-based artist who spends most of her time climbing up ladders and painting murals. Since abandoning her formal design training several years ago, she has opted to pursue a multidisciplinary art practice to use colour, gradients and type to spread her uplifting messages.

      ABOUT THE ARTWORK

Tulips are the national botanical emblem for Afghanistan. I drew twenty tulips for Afghanistan after watching in horror the exitus after a 20 year occupation by US and allied troops, followed by the systematic oppression of women carried out by the incoming Taliban.
